Analytics, cookies and advertising
We use analytics tools and advertising pixels from third parties, which may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser. They help us understand how people use GoonRips and measure and show ads for GoonRips and our affiliates' products. These partners may receive your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you visit, and may combine it with other information they hold.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out as described under "Your choices and rights."
How we use information
- to provide the game, sign you in, and save your collection;
- to send sign-in passcodes and service messages;
- to send marketing emails from GoonRips and our affiliates (companies that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with HYD), for example about Moment. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link;
- to measure use of the site and run and measure advertising;
- to prevent fraud, abuse and multiple accounts, enforce our Terms and the age limit, and keep the Service secure;
- to comply with the law.
How we share information
- Service providers who run the Service for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), and our email delivery provider. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Our affiliates, to send you marketing about their products, as described above.
- Analytics and advertising partners, as described above. California law may treat this as "sharing."
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, or in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Retention and security
We keep your account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your email address, username, and collection within 30 days, except where we must keep something to comply with the law or to prevent abuse. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them. You will still receive sign-in passcodes.
- Delete your account and data by emailing support@goonrips.app from your account email address.
- Opt out of advertising sharing ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information") by emailing support@goonrips.app with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". We also honor Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.
- California residents have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Residents of other states with privacy laws may have similar rights. To use them, email support@goonrips.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Adults only
GoonRips is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it and close the account.
